KAYLA LAKUSTA
Registered Acupuncturist
Over 12 years ago, I began my journey in the study of mind-body connections, sparked by my background in competitive swimming. After high school, I completed a Massage Therapy diploma at Mount Royal University, where my interest in the physical manifestations of pain deepened. This curiosity led me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, where I explored Eastern traditions and philosophies, ultimately discovering Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Choosing to study TCM was more than a career decision—it was a lifestyle choice. I am deeply committed to holistic health, integrating various practices to address the root causes of issues. I believe that humans, like all beings, are microcosms of the natural world, and much of my practice revolves around aligning with nature’s rhythms.
Today, I am a certified practitioner of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, having graduated from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I am also a member of the Alberta Governing Board of Acupuncturists (CAAA). My passion for learning drives me to continuously expand my knowledge, exploring different styles and modalities from around the world to provide personalized care for each individual.
My dedication to Eastern philosophy shapes my everyday life, inspiring me to connect with like-minded people, spark new ideas, and continue growing as a creative, engaged practitioner.

ANDREA OCHITWA
Reiki Practitioner / Healing Touch Practitioner
As far back as I can remember, “helping” was a big part of my life, whether it be for people or animals. Even as a child, I had to be the “cop” when playing cops and robbers with my friends… always helping people. It wasn’t a big surprise for anyone when, as a young adult, I applied to be a police officer. At that point, I was a bit TOO young and didn’t have enough life experience, so I went into Police Communications/ Dispatch to learn more. That life experience I was looking for turned into my career. Twenty years later, I was “medical’d out” of the career that I had loved, after being diagnosed with an occupational PTSI. Those twenty years were filled with managing other peoples’ traumas, and my heart, mind, body, and soul couldn’t sustain it any longer. There was a silver lining about that, though. It allowed me to have a relatively unique perspective for my future. Enter “Energy” work. My belief in complementary therapies working together with allopathic care, added to my strong desire to continue to help others, brought me to the world of Reiki (for people and animals), Healing Touch, teaching Meditation, Equine Assisted Learning/Equine Facilitated Wellness. It also allowed me to return “home” to my creative side by delving into photography and by creating crystal and metal adornments.
I look forward to working with you, to walk beside you on your healing journey!
